This LongRun Caiwei Pu-erh tea cake is selected from Cha-quality, large-leaf tea trees in the Lancang River region of Yunnan, China. These tea plantations are “GAP” and “IMO” certified and constantly quality inspected. This fermented Pu-erh tea cake (traditionally called a ‘Bing’ in Chinese) has complete, reddish-brown, intact, surface leaves. The brewed soup is reddish-brown, dense and bright in appearance, with aromatics that create a smooth, mellow taste that has a slightly sweet overtone. LongRun produces traditional teas which are processed according to medical manufacturing standards. Processing steps include careful material selection, distinct blending, the use of a unique climate and environment controls, aerobic fermentation, wooden warehouse storage, and 86 steps of strict quality control.
